Sorry, so far just bike eat and sleep. Got to Singapore at 11.15 am yesterday, so on target. I arrive in Perth to start riding from the airport day after tomorrow. Will start at 7am. The clock starts as soon as I clear customs, so have to go immediately, sorry
Hi Alan, as much as I admire your attempt at the title I wonder if it is really comparable to the others who cycled round the world carrying around 40 kilos of gear on their bikes and having to do all of this without a support team driving with them.
I’m also rather intrigued at this incredible admiration you have for the King. He seems like a rather unremarkable non elected head of state to me. Discuss!

Hi, Alan
Thank you for the thing you are doing for our King and our country.I think,HM gonna have more moral support to fight with the problem. Ride safe and take care.
Alan fight!!!!!
Kevin Wallace I would have to agree with you! While I too admire Alan’s efforts, there is no denying that solo travel is exponentially more difficult. Regardless of how the rules read, I just dont believe Alan deserves the same record as those who went before him.
You’re right Chris. It’s not just the fact that all your kit is being carried for you and your food and sleeping arrangements are sorted out for you, but the fact that you are not alone must be a massive boost. I dont know how Mark Beaumont managed his record with all that gear and having to organise everything on the road. Well done Monty. As far as I’m concerned his record still stands until beaton fair and square by a bloke (or girl) on the road on their own. Vin Cox is part way through his attempt at the moment. Unsuported.
All the best Vin.
Hi Alan. According to the progress map on the website you are currently covering almost 200 miles a day (320km). This is remarkable considering you are carrying all your own gear. When you weren’t carrying anything and had back up you were doing far less. How can this be?????
all the best.

Wish you all the best Alan but I echo the previous comments about unsupported riders. Really curious as to why you’ve listed Ortlieb and Tubus as Silver sponsors. Don’t see any racks or panniers on your bike ?????????
Hey Miggs,
give the guy a break. Those sponsors stickers can play havoc with the drag co efficient of a racing bike!
Besides, the racks are bolted on to the side of the van!!!

Is the tracker working properly? Mileage seems to be a bit on the generous side.
